Shouichi, fighting for himself, transforms into Agito Burning form and defeats the mantis Unknown and the El of Water. The El of Water, in a last ditch effort, retreats into the OverLord’s body and vows vengeance against Agito. Shouichi regains his self-esteem and rejoins the Misugi household. Ryo Ashihara witnesses someone being attacked by an Unknown and goes to save her, he encounters a strange man in black named Kaoru Kino.
