Conan and Kogoro visit the home of real estate company manager Sanada on a job. However, Sanada says he no longer needs his help and offers him a cancellation fee. Sanada’s eagerness for them to leave leads Kogoro to question him, and Sanada begins explaining that he never intended to kill anyone. Three days earlier, Sanada’s real estate office was visited by a man named Inumaru. Blackmailed over wrongdoings he never committed, Sanada asked his friend Kawakatsu for advice, but then something happened.
